by William B. Secor (Author)

Many Educators, Parents and students are having difficulties teaching and understanding the new Common Core Curriculum and Stem/STEAM requirements in education and what they mean for a student's success in school and future employment. This book places the Common Core and STEM/STEAM within context, i.e., conceptually, using the scientific method, using critical reasoning, the importance of understanding math, and a way parents can help their child to understand some concepts in math. Part Two is a collection of inexpensive Hands-On project that students can do, either singly or in a group, projects that relate directly to many disciplines and skills needed for future employment in a rapidly changing world of science and technology, now transforming the workplace. The book contains many illustrations and how-to help suggestions. In part, the book is strongly focused on Early Childhood Education.
