My friend, Yarmila, was brutally stabbed to death by her husband, Scott, in the backyard of the family home while their children slept upstairs. He has always maintained he has no memory of this brutal action and once he accepted his guilt, has always taken responsibility for it. This took place in January of 1997, and in 2013, the Arizona Supreme Court designated the trial historically significant.
This is a factual retelling of the saddest, strangest true-life story I have ever encountered. I hope it provides a depth of understanding absent from news accounts.
