He is the author of eight books and pamphlets of poetry, including \u003cem\u003eRoyals\u003c\/em\u003e (Wave Books, 2017), which was a finalist for the 2018 Lambda Literary Award for Gay Poetry, \u003cem\u003eLanguage Arts\u003c\/em\u003e (Wave Books, 2014); \u003cem\u003eStranger in Town\u003c\/em\u003e (City Lights, 2010); \u003cem\u003eExpensive Magic\u003c\/em\u003e (House Press, 2008); two editions of \u003cem\u003eSelected Writings\u003c\/em\u003e (Ugly Duckling Presse, 2003 and 2005); and most recently, the Bagley Wright Lecture Series book \u003cem\u003eGuard the Mysteries\u003c\/em\u003e (Wave Books, 2021). He has taught workshops at St. Mary's College, Naropa University and University Press Books. He is currently a mentor in the low residency MFA program at The Institute of American Indian Arts.
