Her \u003ci\u003eKhasi Folk Tales\u003c\/i\u003e was first published in 1979. Although she works extensively on folk tales, her stories are not confined to that. Her first book was \u003ci\u003eNepali Lokokatha\u003c\/i\u003e. Her other books are \u003ci\u003eMeghalaya o Mizoram er Lokokatha\u003c\/i\u003e, \u003ci\u003eDesh Bidesher Lokokotha\u003c\/i\u003e and an autobiographical sketch of Guwahati, \u003ci\u003eKichu Smriti Kichu Chobi\u003c\/i\u003e. All her published works are in Bengali. She is eighty-three years old. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cb\u003eUtsa Bose \u003c\/b\u003eis an MPhil scholar in Modern South Asian Studies at the University of Oxford. After completing his schooling in Kolkata, he moved to Delhi to study English at St Stephen's College. His publications include the translated short fictions of Bibhutibhusan Bandopadhyay, Rajshekhar Basu, Manoranjan Byapari and Rabindranath Tagore.
