As a child, she lived with a nice family who gave her a lot of art supplies and paper. She made many drawings and books, mostly of unicorns, animals in clothing, fairy princesses and outfits she wanted to wear (all of which she still draws today). Her love of art and books led her to get a BFA in illustration from Memphis College of Art. Now, she wants nothing more than to fill as much time as possible illustrating stories for young people. Brenna's work is a blend of digital and traditional media that combines watercolor, ink and acrylic with digital techniques. She lives in the St. Louis, MO area with her two children, and some hamster escape artists.
