She studied philosophy at the Universidade de S縊 Paulo (USP). In 1969 her first book, \u003ci\u003eTransposi鈬o\u003c\/i\u003e, was published, followed by four more collections. Her third collection, \u003ci\u003eAlba\u003c\/i\u003e (1983), won the Jabuti Prize, one of the most important prizes in Brazil. In France, a large selection of her poems appeared in translation under the title \u003ci\u003eTr鑁le\u003c\/i\u003e (2000). In 2006 the Brazilian publishing house Cosac Naify published her collected poems, \u003ci\u003e Poesia Reunida\u003c\/i\u003e. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eChris Daniels\u003c\/b\u003e is a prolific, widely published, autodidact and feral translator of global Lusophone poetry.
