He obtained a Ph.D. in real estate economics studies, an M.Phil. in transportation studies from the University of Hong Kong, a B.E. degree in urban planning, and a BS degree in mathematics from Xiamen University, China. His research interests include urban economics, urban transportation, and urban planning.
