She studied under Jim Short at Washington State University and collaborated with him for nearly two decades. Together, they digitized and reanalyzed Short and Strodtbeck's Chicago gang data using modern methods. Resulting publications have appeared in\u003ci\u003e Criminology\u003c\/i\u003e, \u003ci\u003eJournal of Quantitative Criminology\u003c\/i\u003e, and \u003ci\u003eSocial Forces\u003c\/i\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eLisa M.
