Maureen also worked at two institutions of higher education to help them become greener places to learn, live, work, and play. She's taught sustainability classes at the college level and is currently employed as a sustainability consultant. She sits on the board of an arts and sustainability nonprofit, Upcycle Parts Shop, and formerly was on the board of a watershed partnership. Her family has solar panels on their roof, and she is an obsessive home composter. Maureen is happiest on a trail, in a kayak, or curled up with a book. She lives in a Cleveland suburb with her husband, middle-grade son, and three cats.
