Hacker of the first two volumes of the four-volume \u003ci\u003eAnalytical Commentary on the Philosophical Investigations\u003c\/i\u003e (Blackwell, 1980-96), author of \u003ci\u003eWittgenstein, Frege and the Vienna Circle\u003c\/i\u003e (Blackwell, 1988) and with Katherine Morris of \u003ci\u003eDescartes' Dualism\u003c\/i\u003e (1996). He also wrote numerous articles on Wittgenstein, Frege, Russell, Waismann and Descartes. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eP.M.S. Hacker\u003c\/b\u003e is the leading authority on the philosophy of Wittgenstein.
