Benjamin Alison Wilgus is a writer and cartoonist who's been working in comics for over a decade. He attended the Undergraduate Film and Television program at the Tisch School for the Arts. He got his start working for Cartoon Network's "Codename: Kids Next Door" as a colorist and staff writer and cut his teeth on comics writing with
Avatar: The Last Airbender, including
Zuko's Story and many of the shorts in
The Lost Adventures. Most of his professional work since then has been writing for comics, and his work has been published by Scholastic, Del Rey, DC,
Nickelodeon Magazine, Dark Horse, Tor, and First Second Books, with an upcoming title from Random House Graphic. His latest work is
The Mars Challenge, illustrated by Wyeth Yates.
