Author Biography

Katrina vive en un peque?o pueblo del sureste de Inglaterra con su marido y sus tres hijos. En 2013 recibi? la beca de ficci?n Margaret Carey de la SCBWI de las Islas Brit?nicas, y en 2014 fue una de las ganadoras del concurso Undiscovered Voices de la SCBWI. Guilherme Karsten es un escritor e ilustrador, naci? y vive en Blumenau, sur de Brasil. Estudi? Katrina lives in a small town in southeastern England with her husband and three children. In 2013 she received the Margaret Carey Fiction Fellowship from the SCBWI of the British Isles, and in 2014 she was one of the winners of the SCBWI Undiscovered Voices competition. She is the author of the chapter book series THE LAST FIREHAWK, a bestseller of Publishers Weekly (Scholastic Branches), the middle-grade series SURVIVAL TAILS (Little, Brown), the middle-grade series POPPY'S PLACE (Stripes), and the initial reader THE NINJABREAD MAN (Franklin Watts). and illustrated books.

Guilherme Karsten is a writer and illustrator, born and lives in Blumenau, southern Brazil. He studied Advertising and Graphic Design and began his illustration career in the animation and fashion industry. In 2010 he illustrated his first children's book. Since then he has illustrated more than 30 books by Brazilian and international authors. Which led him to start writing and, in 2017, "The Ride!", his first book as an author and illustrator won an honorable mention in the First International Illustrated Books Awards of Serpa 2017.
