Author Biography

Lydia Byhardt Bollinger, LCSW, MOM. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Mom to 2 young girls. I have been braiding hair since middle school, and always appreciated how braiding helps us connect as people. I enjoy helping people feel great and walk tall. This happens both inside the mind (what I do every day with my therapy clients) and outside (through braiding and appreciating every girl's beauty). I call hairbraiding "tHairapy!" The braiding book has been requested for years, and I have included inspirations for each chapter. These incorporate some of my philosophy for viewing life with mental wellness in mind. My goal is for the reader to gain confidence, recognize and overcome their challenges, and have fun braiding on the way.
