Author Biography
Dan Pedersen grew up in Western Washington and now makes his home on Whidbey Island with his wife, Sue, and adventurous canine, Duncan. He received two journalism degrees from the University of Washington in the 1960s and 70s, served in the US Air Force and went on to become a reporter and editor for several newspapers in Idaho and Washington, including a large outdoor weekly. Alaska is part of the family culture. His father spent his boyhood in Douglas, Seward and Skagway. Pedersen Glacier, near Seward, is named for his grandfather. The author's book, Louis & Fanny: 15 Years on the Alaska frontier, tells the family's story. He is the author of several books, many short stories and a weekly blog about nature and life, Dan's Blog. This is his second mystery, the sequel to Final Deception: A Whidbey Island Mystery.
