Author Biography

Dean Willeford is an author, speaker, business and tax consultant who works with entrepreneurs to grow and protect their businesses. After college graduation from the University of Southern California and graduate work he worked as a stockbroker, a small hedge fund manager, mortgage banker and sales manager. He became the youngest president of United Yellow Pages where he increased sale from $1 million to over $8 million in three years. With his extensive credentials in finance, sales management, tax planning he got the entrepreneurial itch and 25 years ago he founded his own consulting firm, BDS Consulting Group, to help small businesses start and grow. Today he continues with his consulting firm with a wide variety of clients in 17 states and three foreign countries. He is also author of "Cash Out"- "38 Smart, Quick Legal Loopholes to Take the Maximum Cash Out of Your Corporation without Disastrous Tax Consequences." To help entrepreneurs grow, he has written "Referrals and..." to show business owners how to market their business by referrals only. Dean was an All-American swimmer in six events and on three NCAA national championship teams. As a Hall of Fame water polo player, he was awarded the most valuable player on the National team and was the leader of the 1968 Olympic team in Mexico City. He is President of the Nevada Olympians Association and works with local groups to try to bring the Winter Olympics back to the Reno/Tahoe Squaw Valley area. He enjoys hobbies in martial arts, where is a second degree black belt, and open water sailing. In his spare time he enjoys writing about himself in third person. He currently lives in the great outdoors of Reno, Nevada with his wife of 32 years, three dogs and enjoys two grown children and three grandchildren.
