Catherine Marenghi is an award-winning poet, memoirist and novelist. Her poetry books include Unfurled: Love Poems (2023), of which Sandra Cisneros said, "Here is poetry written from the exquisite perspective of a woman of a certain age"; Breaking Bread: Poems (2020), a book about family, love, and the endless longing for home; and now this latest collection, Things We Take, Things We Let Go.

Among her poetry awards, she received first-place honors in separate poetry contests judged by acclaimed poets Richard Blanco and Jennifer Clement. Her poems also twice received first-place honors from the Academy of American Poets university poetry prize program and received a Yeats Poetry Prize honorable mention. Her poetry has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize.
