Kate Stepan teaches whitewater kayaking, rafting, swiftwater rescue, and wilderness first-aid/CPR at Rocky Mountain Outdoor Center, where she is part-owner and staff manager. She's paddled in 20 states and seven countries. and now calls Buena Vista, Colorado, and the Arkansas River, home.
