Author Biography

Professor Tony Janovich holds the rank of 10th degree black belt in Danzan-Ryu Jujitsu, the highest rank available in the system. He is the most senior student under his teacher, the late Prof. Sig Kufferath, who succeeded the system founder Henry Seishiro Okazaki as Professor after the founder's passing in 1951. This gives a direct line of instruction from Prof. Okazaki to Prof. Kufferath to Prof. Janovich. In addition to the martial aspects of Danzan-Ryu Jujitsu, Professor Janovich is an expert in the associated healing methods of resuscitation and restorative massage. He maintains a restoration therapy practice as well as serving as police officer.
