Author Biography
Rick Morgan is the founder of the Life Performance Institute. He is a former United States Air Force Officer and jet pilot, a career airline pilot, and educator. He is a combat veteran of Kosovo, Bosnia, the Middle East conflict, and the South and Central American drug wars. Morgan is currently an airline pilot for a major US airline. He currently flies the Boeing 737-800 series aircraft. Morgan is an adjunct professor in the aviation department at Miami-Dade College and is a State of Utah certified Off-Road Motorcycle and Vehicle instructor. Morgan earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder. While at CU, he walked on the varsity football team and earned a scholarship and a letter playing strong and free safety for the Mighty Buffalo defense. After college, Morgan attended and graduated from the Comair Flight Academy, now known as the Delta Training Academy. As a top student, he was asked to remain on the faculty to teach other pilots. It was here where Morgan developed a passion for teaching. In the United States Air Force, Morgan served as a combat mission qualified Aircraft Commander in a worldwide deployable airlift squadron. He flew tactical airlift in the C-130 for ten years. Through various Air Force Leadership Schools and as an Aircraft Commander he honed his leadership skills and abilities. Among his decorations are: The Air Force Achievement Medal, The Aerial Achievement Medal and The Air Force Commendation Medal. Rick Morgan is a stand up leader, has a keen sense of performance and is a role model of leadership. After all these years, he is still a dedicated athlete and is always outside. In the winter, Rick is an active snow boarder and skier. In the summer months, Rick can be found riding either riding his bike or motorcycle in the nearby mountain trails or riding his BMX bike at the local skate park. His current hobbies include traveling, adventure, and learning. He volunteers his time at a local resort, coaches his son's teams and teaches for the State of Utah as a certified Off-Road Motorcycle and Vehicle instructor. His athletic achievements, military duty, and flight instruction experience define Captain Morgan's leadership style and approach. He offers a straight forward, matter of fact and no nonsense leadership program. He provides potent tools to increase your personal effectiveness, enhance your performance and leadership.
