Author Biography
Laurence Parent is a freelance photographer and writer specializing in landscape, travel, architecture, and nature subjects. He has written and/or photographed 45 books, including 7 Falcon and Globe Pequot books. One of his latest books is Death in Big Bend, which chronicles fatalities and rescues at Big Bend National Park. He also photographs and writes for numerous magazines, including Texas Monthly, Texas Highways, Texas Parks & Wildlife, Arizona Highways, and Backpacker. He lived for many years with his family in Wimberley, Texas, but now lives in Prescott, Arizona.
