Yes, there are some in this book, however this is more about the emotions involved and the silent after math suffered by law enforcement officers and their families every day. There are also the lasting effects that carry on for years later. For some, the effects get to be too much. John 15:13 is the basis of the invisible bond that exits between all members who "Protect and Serve" our great country. An incredible bond of Brothers and Sisters that toe the line, shoulder to shoulder ready to fight for the safety of others. A Brotherhood that does their best to make this world a safer environment for everyone. This is the story of my time walking the Line and the amazing men and women I served shoulder to shoulder with. Unfortunately, I had to watch several of the Brotherhood fall along the way. I am an ordinary man who has walked an extraordinary path through life. Come with me and I will show you a glimpse of the life of a law enforcement officer.

Author Biography

I spent over twenty years in the uniformed service of My God, Country, State, and fellow man. After growing up in the hills of West Virginia, I enlisted in the U. S. Navy. I served seven years as a Deep Sea Diver and served two tours over seas during Desert Storm/Shield. After returning home, I was hired as a Lincoln County Deputy, a small department in rural Southern West Virginia. While there, I was also the County's K-9 Handler, working with Blue, my big Chesapeake Bay Retriever. I later traded my black uniform for the Green of the West Virginia State Police. During my time as a Trooper, I worked every type of crime imaginable, from murders to bar fights. I served several years as an undercover brother working the huge pill, meth, and other drug problems that plagues so many communities. I was then fortunate enough to finish my career as a Staff Officer teaching at the West Virginia State Police Academy.
