Author Biography

A Pennsylvania native, Natalie L. Bartley moved to Idaho in 1987 to work as an outdoor program manager and has lived there ever since. When she is not working as a free-lance writer, she can be found mountain biking, whitewater kayaking, crosscountry skiing, or exploring the outdoors with her yellow Labrador retriever. She has over 500 articles to her credit in publications including Paddler, Canoe and Kayak, Ski Patrol, National Ski Areas Association Journal, Women in the Outdoors, and The Idaho Statesman. Natalie is a certified kayak and ski instructor, and a member of the Outdoor Writers Association of America, the North American Snowsport Journalists Association Western Region, and the Northwest Outdoor Writers Association.
