An ambassador for the area, Marijean has written extensively about Charlottesville in Secret Charlottesville: A Guide to the Weird, Wonderful, and Obscure. One of the founders of the C'ville Pie Fest, she is a competitive and enthusiastic pie baker. Marijean also once held the Guinness World Record for creating the world's largest bouquet of flowers.
