Author Biography
Carol Scearce is a professional consultant who has been in education for over 40 years. She taught K-12 general education and special education classes, was director of staff development for a large school district, and taught for several years at the university level. Carol has received the Outstanding Special Educator of the Year award and has been nominated for Who′s Who In Education and Who′s Who In Staff Development. She is the author of articles, training manuals and the book 100 Ways to Build Teams. She is a regular presenter at national conferences for ASCD, NSDC, the Brain Expo, the Council for Exceptional Children, and Title I schools, and has conducted over a 1,000 workshops on topics such as Team Building, Steps to Organizational Change, Teaching in the High Performance Classroom, How to Have a Brain Friendly Staff Meeting, Reading in the Content Areas, Classroom Instruction That Works, and Mentoring the Beginning Teacher. Her workshops are practical, active, and humorous. She models what she preaches and gives participants many opportunities to make connections between the workshop and the real world of school. Carol is the president of Enlightening Enterprises.
