Author Biography

Nancy Dale, Ph.D. is a native Miamian and author of four Florida pioneer "cow hunter" books: Where the Swallowtail Kite Soars: The Legacies of Glades County, Florida and the Vanishing Wilderness; Would Do, Could Do and Made Do: The Florida Pioneer "Cow Hunters" Who Tamed the Last Frontier; Wild Florida, the Way It Was: As Told by the Pioneer "Cow Hunters and Huntresses" Who Lived It; The Legacy of the Pioneer "Cow Hunters" - In Their Own Words. Dr. Dale writes these books to preserve the cultural heritage. She teaches Communications at South Florida State College and is a certified Yoga Instructor.
