The second book in the poetry journal Abandoned Mine's anthology series, 25 Poems for People Who Don't Read Poetry is a thoughtfully-curated collection of accessible, understandable, relatable poems for people who don't yet read poetry.
The key word in that sentence is yet.
From the book's introduction:
"We believe that most people have a hunger for soul-stirring. A hunger for emotional and spiritual growth. A hunger to see more clearly. A hunger for connection. A hunger to be seen.
"Poetry can feed this hunger.
"It's only a matter of time before more people discover (or re-discover) it!"
May this book be part of that discovery, that nourishing.
