Author Biography

Robert 'Buck' Antle, a retired ophthalmologist, is a former Michigander who moved to Central Oregon in 1987 to enjoy the amenities of the area. He graduated from the University of Michigan in 1942 and Wayne State Medical School in 1950. During the interim he served 39 months in the US Navy as a pharmacist mate. About the book: Several notable men were involved in the years the US was without a vice president. The author weaves lessor known political figures into the story in such a way the reader will seek more information on these fascinating characters. Chapters, "President for a Day" and "One Vote away" are examples. Interesting tid bits are scatter throughout the book.
