A Dark Quill: Tales & Poems - Paperback

by S. B. LaCroix (Author)

A Dark Quill is the beauty of the poetic and the reality of the grim in a collection of twenty-three tales and fifty-three poems. Somber, tragic, and macabre tales take the reader into a dark realm. There are tales of obsession and lust turn grave, of a bereaved widower who contemplates the unthinkable, of a woman who pays a high price for her arrogance, and more. Along the shadowy paths of fiction dark humor can be found, as well as the bizarre. Once the reader has traveled through the dark realm of fiction, the poetry awaits. The poetic mood is pensive, yet at times fierce and unforgiving. A taste of macabre poems, some seasoned with humor, offers an overall deliciously dark poetic feast.
