by Martyn William Iffland (Author)
This is the story of a small boy who was forced to leave his home in Michelstadt, Germany, with the onset of antisemitism and the Second World War. His father remained behind and he was brought up by his mother and grandparents in Upminster, Essex. Many years later he was able to reestablish links with his family and he met his father just once more. He retained a lifelong love of Germany. This memoir recalls his life growing up in Upminster, Essex. Having left school with no qualifications he trained as a Land Surveyor. As a young surveyor he worked in the UK, Iraq and India. He met his wife and established his own Land Survey business in Upminster. This book will be of interest to all those who knew him, along with people working today in Land Survey and residents of Upminster.

A small yet very thoughtful devotional book. A beautiful way to promote seeing God everyday in everything.
