Author Biography

Mary LaNier is a fighter to live and not die. She grew up in an abusive environment. With determination to be all she could be, she kept living with a flickering light helping her to keep on keeping on. She has a message to each of you who have experienced any kind of sexual abuse, mental and physical, keep on keeping on. After she suffered abuse and date rape, she survived a car wreck at 16 years old and has lived as a paraplegic for 52 years. She describes her feelings and details of her sister's murder and her nephew's murder later. After reading her story, you will see that Mary is one of the strongest women and gives the credit to her survival to God, as she realized later, He is the flickering light within.
