Author Biography

Peter J. O'Neill (1906 - 1988) was a columnist for the Irish World covering Irish history and local happenings. Born in Culleen, Co. Sligo, Ireland, he immigrated to the United States in 1930 and became a U.S. Citizen in 1936. He was of the Fews family, a branch of the Tyrone O'Neills, and was long active in many Irish organizations in New York City, Brooklyn and The Catskills.
