Life is a journey that takes many turns along the way. Control of where, how, and when is not within your grasp. The only thing you can control is how you react to what is happening. My choice has always been to embrace each moment as it comes. Whenever it turns into something that causes me heartache and pain, I just take a breath and find a way to push through it.

I have experienced a lot on my journey. Sometimes, I walked in darkness and struggled to keep on going. This book of poems is not only about my journey but also, hopefully, a helpful tool for those who need a little light in their lives.

Lessons I have learned from those who once walked beside me have taught me always to take a graceful view of life.
