It's 1939 in the small eastern Tennessee community of Mountain City and ten-year-old Earlie Lee has his hopes set on getting a harmonica for Christmas. The story follows Earlie and his family as they deal with his father, Caleb Lee's recovery from injuries sustained in an accident at the saw mill where he works. Earlie, his older brother Johnny, and precocious little sister Lily, learn through stories told by their mother, Mae Lee and others of how Mae and Caleb met and fell in love. Earlie learns the importance of family, friends and facing tough times together.

A small yet very thoughtful devotional book. A beautiful way to promote seeing God everyday in everything.
