Once upon a time there was a normal girl living a normal life until one day she discovered she was a mermaid. Her name was Merina Castro, and she was thirteen years old. She was entering her last year in junior high. She was so excited because she was planning to have the best year of her life. She has a boyfriend, three best friends anyone could ever have, a guy friend that will never leave her side, and an awesome new look. A few weeks pass until she discovers she's a mermaid and everything comes crashing down. She also encounters many difficulties along the way that bring her down even more. In the end she is brought down to the ocean and told about the truth of her life and put up to a decision. What will she decide?
