The book is broken down into four sections. It starts with the classic poem "Twas the Night Before Christmas", "A Visit from St. Nicholas", by Clement C. Moore with Pictures by Jessie Willcox Smith. The classic poem is printed in solid lines on handwriting paper and then printed in tracing letters. Each of the tracing pages is broken in half allowing the children to create their own illustrations for the poem. There are also extra blank handwriting pages in the back they can use to create their own Christmas story or wishes.
