This is some 17th century history and genealogy of what became Connecticut, especially around Wethersfield and Glastonbury. It's about some trials of Puritan preaching, adventures in the Pequot War between Indians and Englishmen, the Fundamental Orders of Connecticut, and witchcraft. The title alludes to the fact that this Connecticut region was new to some Europeans, but not to some Indians.

This is fruit from a cultivation by me and my daughter of our ancestral trees. I have been a professor of mathematics and history and philosophy of science, and my daughter has been a journalist
