Since there have been few books depicting academic vocabularies, especially the ones which are tailored for academic exams including, but not limited to, IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, GMAT, TKT and City and Guild Exam, and since most of the applicants of those exams are in need of acquiring academic lexica in order to grasp the content of every exam and get outstanding scores in all sections, this book depicts the most commonly used English vocabularies in the exams. It also nurtures the novice translators in grasping the high formal English compositions inasmuch as it focuses on those lexical items.This book presents the most common words of any academic exams by defining each lexical item and giving many examples to students in order to help them comprehend it in an oral and written discourse. Additionally, it fosters the learner to pronounce the word correctly pursuant to the American pronunciation by depicting the American transcription of each word. It also shows the function of each item next to it. Furthermore, it provides an Arabic translation to any of them, then an English explanation to it. Examples and illustrations are provided, too.
