Ten-year-old Amber Peabody has grown up on her family's ranch, high in the mountains of north central Colorado. She is an imaginative young lady, who is always dreaming of adventures in far off places. With her curly dark hair and fierce green eyes. She stairs off into the distance, imagining she is fighting off pirates to save the young boy who has been captured and held in the bottom of the ship. One day while she was supposed to be working, she as usual was staring off in the distance. That was the first time she had seen the cave. It was up high on a hill and seemed to be calling her by name. She told her brother and father to turn around and look at the cave. When they did, they both chuckled and said. "Amber, you have such an imagination. We don't see any cave. Now get back to work". She went back to work. But she was determined that soon she would visit that cave. A few days later she was back at the spot where she saw the cave. There it was right where she last saw it, still beckoning her to come. So, while her dad and brother were eating lunch, she decided to go to the cave and see for herself what was in there. Little did she know that visit would turn into her first of many awesome adventures.
