by Laurie Schramm (Author)
In 1975, Alexandra Houston is invited to join the RCMP as a pilot project: she is to become the first woman Mountie. This omnibus edition contains the first four novels in the "Adventures of the First Woman Mountie" series. It follows her new career from training, through to her first posting to a small town in a remote part of Northern Saskatchewan, and from there on subsequent assignments that take her from coat-to-coast-to-coast. Along the way, she acquires a friend and partner in Silver, an Alaskan Malamute. This unusual-looking team is soon put to work undercover and their cases tend to involve crises, crime, and mystery. Included in this collection are "An Inconvenient Mountie," "An Inconspicuous Mountie," "An Indestructible Mountie," and "An International Mountie."
