Mercy Amba Oduyoye, from Ghana, founded the Circle of Concerned African Women Theologians and is the first African woman from south of the Sahara to have served as deputy general secretary of the World Council of Churches. Author Biography

Isabel Apawo Phiri, a Malawian, is general coordinator of the Circle of Concerned African Women Theologians, and a professor of African theology at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa.

Sarojini Nadar of South Africa is lecturer in Hebrew Bible at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and coordinator of the International Network in Advanced Theological Education.
