Author Biography

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Donna R. Causey, native of Alabama, spent many years in the classroom as a teacher of students with learning difficulties. Once she retired, she finally had time to follow her passion for discovering little-known or forgotten gems of history. Donna has developed the websites www.alabamapioneers.com and www.daysgoneby.me. Donna has authored numerous genealogy and historical books as well as the fictional series, Tapestry of Love and The Cottinghams. She states: "Undiscovered facts provide snippets of information into the daily lives of our ancestors and their individual paper trails leave personal legacies which are so much fun to discover. One day, while I was studying some old documents, it dawned on me that I was creating my own legacy through the seemingly minor things I do and decisions I made each day. I hope my descendants will be proud of what I leave behind."
