Author Biography

Award-winning author Helen Hegener has written over a dozen books, including Along Alaskan Trails, The First Iditarod, The 1935 Matanuska Colony Project, and several others. In 2007 she founded Northern Light Media, an Alaskan company which publishes books and produces documentary videos about various facets of the history of Alaska.
