Armistead is the events coordinator for the American Birding Association, guides birding tours for Field Guides, Inc., and is the secretary for the Delaware Valley Ornithological Club, one of the nation's oldest bird clubs. He lives in Philadelphia. Brian E. Small has been a full-time professional bird and nature photographer for more than 20 years. He served as the photo editor for the American Birding Association's membership magazine, Birding, for the past 15 years. He lives in Los Angeles.
