Individual politicians will agree with most of the Goals discussed in this book, and they'll agree also that they'd never get reelected if they pushed Entitlement proposals for instance. Suppose that the whole GOP agreed that these goals are the only way to help get us back to the top of the heap. There's strength through unity, but now we have no strength, no unity and no Goals to get there.
