Frank T. Crowe joined the newly formed United States Reclamation Service in 1905 and headed West to work on numerous irrigation projects designed to 'water the West.' This biography of Crowe traces Crowes career from work on the Yellowstone Project up through the building of mighty Hoover and Shasta Dams.
Al M. Rocca is Professor of Education and History at Simpson University in Redding, California. He also serves as a Faculty Advisor for California State University, Monterey Bay in the CalStateTeach Program. He has written numerous articles and books including a textbook in United States History and on the local history of Northern California. He served as Editor of the Social Studies Review for eleven years.
