I wanted to reconnect to my real heritage. I was on my way. It would be an experience that would humble me. I wanted to be a wise woman - kind, duty-conscious, obedient, constant, in love, trustworthy, working with my hands; a Godly woman who is dedicated to helping her nation, who is industrious, not swayed by the wicked world - a woman who demonstrates principles of wisdom. I remember when Bishop said in a class that God would send his prophets and wise men to teach you the truth. After reading Timbuktu I knew I had run across the prophets of God; my spirit bore witness with the teachings. I was learning a lot about myself and my ancestors. My forefathers and foremothers had broken God's commandments. For doing so, God said the curses would be on the fourth generations. I was starting to understand why I went through all this wickedness.
