This work presents an English translation of traditional laws and customs of the Edé People in Vietnam, originally collected and published in 1927; and, until then, only passed down orally since ancient times.

This book is a culmination of work by a number of people: English translation of French was provided by Evelyn Desurmont, and certain Ede words & terms were translated to English by H'Cham Heubeck; Ede to French translation was previously done by Dominique Antomarchi, and the original collection of Ede was made by Leopold Sabatier. Final editing was done by Kerry Heubeck."
