Author Biography
Alison Pearce Stevens was a science professor until life took her overseas, at which point she started writing about science and nature for kids, because she's an educator at heart and had to find new ways to share cool things with the world's most curious people. Her books have been Junior Library Guild Gold Standard selections, won numerous awards, and been included in multiple best-of lists, including Best STEM Books, Outstanding Science Trade Books, and Bank Street's list of Best Children's Books of the Year. Jason Ford is a London-based illustrator who works regularly for a variety of magazines and newspapers, including the
New York Magazine,
Variety, the
Hollywood Reporter, and the
Los Angeles Times. Jason has also illustrated several books and products for children. He's well-known for his bright, dynamic cartoons full of visual humor for viewers to delight in.
