It's the late fall of 1992 and life is just going as traumatically sedated as usual for twenty something year old Naomi. Living in an unhealthy relationship across the country from her loved ones is a lifestyle that is quickly interrupted by news of illness of a dear friend of hers. As she returns to New York City to support her friends, she learns that her ill friend's final wish is to spend his very short remaining days with the animals. The only problem is that animals only live in the notoriously harsh Land of the Swords. This story follows their journey down to the challenging Land, as they navigate the seemingly psychedelic fables that the various species show them as their thoughts and feelings quickly spiral on their short timeline.
