Taken from declassified photographs, this course in hand-to-hand combat was taught at Fort Benning to paratroopers going to fight in World War II. The course was designed and taught by Danzan-Ryu Jujitsu expert Steven J. Byzek, who later served in the O.S.S. in northern Africa.

Author Biography

Professor George Arrington began his Danzan-Ryu Jujutsu training in 1970 under Professor Michael Belzer and received his black belt in 1973. He is currently ranked at Rokudan and Professor. He received his Shihan certification in 2003 from Professor Tony Janovich. Professor Arrington is the originator of The Danzan-Ryu Jujutsu Homepage, the most extensive source of Danzan-Ryu information on the Internet (www.danzan.com).
